We’re excited to share updates that help your website load faster, make it more accessible to visitors, and give you more ways to create. With smoother page loading, automatic image optimization, and free stock photos right inside Showit, there’s more for your website and more for you to explore.

• Help visitors explore your site more smoothly. Updated page loading reduces shifting content, while improved accessibility better supports people using screen readers.
• Get faster-loading images without extra work. Automatic WebP optimization makes images smaller to download, helping pages load faster without converting or re-uploading your photos.
• Find photos that fit your business, right inside Showit. The new Stock Photos library brings free Pexels photography into your workspace, making it easier to find the right image while you create.

These improvements are powered by Showit’s updated Publish Engine, the behind-the-scenes system that brings your design to the web. Showit will still look and work the way you’re used to but you will need to upgrade your design to get these new features applied to your site.

• Smoother page loading and rendering (less content shifting)
• Improved accessibility and screen reader structure (layers match order in Showit)
• Better content structure for search engines and AI systems
• Faster publishing times for larger sites
• More behind-the-scenes improvements to support the future of Showit

How to get these updates

These updates are available on upgraded Showit designs. Upgrading also gives your design access to all new Showit features as they’re released. First, look beside your design name in Showit for the green check badge.

Already see a ✅ by your site name? You’re upgraded. 👍

You can skip the upgrade steps below and these new features are already active on that design.

• Activate WebP image optimization. If you haven’t published recently, publish your site to activate it.
• Start using Stock Photos. Open the Stock Photos tab in your Media Library to explore free Pexels photography.

No green check yet? Start with a preview.

Open Site Settings → Upgrade. You’ll first try the new Publish Engine in Beta, giving you a chance to preview and test your site before publishing and completing the full upgrade.
