New in Showit: Buttons...Real Buttons 🙌

Shared by Adam • December 04, 2025

It’s official: Buttons have landed in Showit.

Ok, there were pseudo buttons before, but these are BETTER buttons. Bettons, if you will. (Please note, Showit does advocate gambling.)

We’ve heard your requests loud and clear over the years, and this is one we’re so excited to deliver. Whether you're customizing your live site or building a new one, Buttons are about to become your new best friend.

Let’s check out the details (don’t miss my last bullet point)…

Primary & Secondary Button Styles

You can now define your go-to button styles in Design Settings, based on your brand colors, fonts, and vibe. These styles keep your designs consistent across the site and make it super simple for clients to stay on brand—without messing anything up.

Hover States

Built-in hover options mean your buttons can now respond on cue—no more hacking together workarounds to get that subtle movement or color shift.

Style Overrides

Want to break the rules? You still can. Override styles on any button to make it feel unique where it counts.

"Convert to Button" for Easy Upgrades

Updating your existing designs is a breeze. Just select a shape + text combo with a link, and you’ll see the "Convert to Button" option pop up. One click = a fully functional button, just like magic.

You'll also find this option on our new action toolbar that appears when multi-selecting objects.

We have so many great buttons that Cordoury the Bear is green with envy. Not to worry, though, no inanimate objects are coming to life around the Showit office. I put up cameras and tied bells on everything to make sure nothing becomes sentient and stalks the hallways at night. Some might call it paranoia, but I call it being proactive. I am not about to get Toy Story-d. Also I am not entirely clear on the rules governing the Toy Story universe. I know they hide when humans are around, but in that scene with Sid they are shown to be able to expose their secret if so desired. Buzz Lightyear further proves some are defective and do not know they are toys and therefore would have no reason to remain hidden.

My personal theory is there is a taskforce designated to hunt down rogue toys who refuse to follow the program, and those Child’s Play movies with Chucky might be part of the same universe. Though I guess the doll in Child’s Play is possessed by the soul of a murderer and not an animate toy. The task force probably rounds up all the broken toys that terrorize their owners and ships them off to some sort of toy prison, which would also be a great movie. Someone get Spielberg on the phone. It could be like Jurassic Park, but with toys, maybe some of them from Jurassic Park. I just need to figure out how the Indian in the Cupboard factors into all of this. Why are there so many movies about living toys?

Buttons are live now in Showit

Showit's Going on Safari

Shared by JT • December 03, 2025

We’re excited to share something many of you have been waiting for. You can now use Showit in Safari through our new public beta.

Why this is a big win for creators

If you’ve ever wondered why Showit worked best in Chrome, you’re definitely not alone. When we first built the app, Chrome had the tech that helped everything run smoothly. Safari now supports the features we need, which means you can design in the browser you already use every day.

What to expect in the beta

This release is still in active testing and improvement. You can dive in and build like normal, and our team is watching closely to keep everything feeling smooth and reliable.

If you notice something acting strange only in Safari, send us a quick message through the in-app chat. Your feedback helps us polish things faster.

Supported version: Safari 17 or newer

Organizers Celebrating Everywhere!

Shared by JT • May 13, 2025

You know who you are—the one with color-coded calendars, smart naming conventions, and just a little too much joy when things snap into place. Well, get ready to feel it in your soul:

👉 Page Folders are officially live in Showit.

Now you can organize your Pages panel to keep even the most sprawling site builds feeling crisp, clean, and totally under control.

Whether your site has sprawled to 50 pages or just like things exactly where they belong, this update is designed to make your organized heart sing.

A few things to know:

  • Folders are purely organizational. They won’t affect your published site.
  • Currently we're supporting one folder level, but there are no limits to how many folders you can have.
  • No more endless scrolling to find that one “Thank You” page you swore you named correctly.

🧠 Pro Tip:

Can’t find the page you’re looking for after you've organized everything in folders?
Open the Command Palette with:

  • Command + P on Mac
  • Control + P on Windows

Then type the page name and go straight to it—plus discover loads of other quick actions along the way.

Page chaos, conquered!
We can’t wait to see how you put it to work.

More Control with Multi-Select

Shared by JT • May 06, 2025

Editing just got a major upgrade. Now when you multi-select the same type of layer—like a bunch of text boxes—you’ll see settings specific to that object type. This makes it way easier to align fonts, spacing, colors, and more. No more clicking into each one individually. It's a small change with a big impact on your design flow.

Design Stage Sizing & Gallery Image List Improvements

JT avatar
Shared by JT • April 07, 2025

Hey all!

Our team recently rolled out some improvements that make Showit feel even more intuitive.

New: Resize the Mobile/Desktop Split View

You can now manually change the split between the mobile and desktop layouts which pairs well with our new Fit Width size option from our updated zoom controls.

Bonus🎉 The mobile and desktop layouts now auto-size to fit on your screen when you first open Showit so you can fully see your design on every screen size.

New: Gallery Images List Layouts

We heard some feedback about how our update made it really difficult to edit title and alt text. So we’ve switched the default view back to what it used to be displaying the image title, while also introducing a new larger view that makes it really easy to edit titles and alt text for all gallery images quickly.

What do you think of these updates? Do they help improve your design workflow?

New Integrations, Global Custom Code & Zoom Controls

Adam avatar
Shared by Adam • April 07, 2025

Greetings, friends!,

We are back with another exciting edition of new Showit Features, from our Product Department to your screens. We have three new features we are pleased to announce.

TLTR Version:

New Direct Integrations:

Meta Pixel and Google Tag Manager are now available as direct integrations for pages of your site. No more custom code! These are available along with the existing Google Analytics and BDOW integrations in Site Settings. We put them all together under Integrations, which was previously called Third Party. Why have a third party when you can integrate all the parties together in one massive super party? I think that is how that works.

Global Custom Code:

Remember how I talked about no more custom code above? I was kidding. You can still have custom code that can be applied across your site pages. Now you can easily add custom code to a Site Canvas Set. So even though you do not need custom code for Meta Pixel and Google Tag Manager, we have made it easier than ever. Is it a contradiction or serendipity? Maybe both. I suppose you could still use it for Pixel and Tags if you really wanted to, but you no longer have to.

Zoom Controls:

Finally we have Zoom Controls. We have defined preset zoom levels, along with a Fit to Width option! It is now easier than ever to layout your site exactly how you want, or test out different settings to find the perfect one. No word on how this relates to Professor Zoom, the Flash villain who dresses all in yellow. Honestly, that is kind of a pretentious name. What is he even a professor of? Going fast and fighting the Flash, I guess. Is there a governing body for that, or is it self appointed? Do you think he has tenure? I cannot imagine Professor Zoom having to present a research paper or anything of the sort. Which brings me to Doctor Doom. What did he even write his thesis on? Presumably something related to how much he hates the Fantastic Four, but are they really handing out doctorates for that type of research? Is there even research? Batman’s dad was a legitimate medical doctor, but he didn’t make people call him Doctor Batman’s Dad. Probably because he got shot and killed way before Bruce Wayne became Batman. Otherwise he might. Which really blows a hole in the secret identity thing.

We cannot wait for you to get creating with these fantastic new tools! Available now!

Now Preview with Your Blog Content

JT avatar
Shared by JT • October 22, 2024

We're excited to offer better support for our current Showit users who are making updates to their blog template designs. You'll now be able to preview your changes across your entire live site and blog.

This preview option will help give you better confidence for how Wordpress content will render based upon your design changes. Then once the preview looks good you can publish like normal.

A few details about this feature:

  • It's only available once you have a blog on Showit's servers (after migration).
  • You'll find the "Preview with My Blog Content" option on the upper right of the preview screen in the app
  • The preview link will always open to your homepage because blog templates are not actual blog pages...so we default to your homepage.
